Mr Okwir said the land at the center of dispute is situated between the two neighboring sub counties who all claim its ownership.
He added that five people were abducted during the attack before being released following intervention by local leaders in the area.
The Agago District LC V Chairperson, Leonard Ojok Opio, condemned the violent attack and said it could have been avoided if the locals had engaged their leaders to mediate on the matter.
Albert Onyago, the Agago District Police Commander said at least one suspect has been arrested in connection with the violent land fight.
