The Crown Beverages Company van was being transported to Gulu for the on-going Pepsi promotion dubbed ‘Twangula’ according to police at Nakasongola Central Police Station.

Police say the driver of the speeding van reportedly tried to dodge a pothole but lost control and crashed into the on-coming motorcycle and the truck.

The Mr Johnson Ssejjemba, a relative of the two brothers who were riding on a motorcycle told the Daily Monitor that he heard a loud bang which prompted him to rush to the scene.

“I did not know that our children who had just left Wabigalo Trading Centre to Wabiyonjo village were victims of the accident,” Mr Ssejjemba said on Wednesday.

Mr Tonny Muyombya, an advocate attached to Baale and Partners said the occupants of the truck were employees of Kigobero Chicken Suppliers located in Kabowa, Kampala city.

Meanwhile, police are yet to identify the runaway driver of the “Twangula” van.
