A few days ago we revealed on this website how Alebtong district Woman Member Parliament Christine Acen was involved in a bitter split with her official husband Moses Ejibu.
However, the MP has finally broken silence about her struggling marriage. It was alleged that her close association with different male legislators and other big wigs in government angered the husband Ejibu, who was forced to quit their marriage.
However, the woman MP revealed to this website yesterday that “It is my husband who packed his belongings and left our house in Kampala and returned to Lira. I hear now he has another wife who is also pregnant. I never chased him from home, it’s him who left me alone.”
MP Acen further revealed how she got disappointed when Ejibu abandoned her alone to battle a court case after she was sued by her opponent Elizabeth Abongo.
“Imagine this man left me to battle my court case alone. But still I never abandoned him. Soon after swearing in as a member of parliament, he developed a lucrative business idea that needed over Shs200M and I supported him,” Acen added.
According to MP Acen, she first gave Ejibu Shs50M which he used to rent a house in Lira town and later she added him about Shs150M, which he used for starting up a boutique and other businesses in Lira town.
Acen, who is rumoured to be friendly with MP Paul Amoru of Dokolo North, insists that she is still waiting for her husband Ejibu to return home.
She further accused Ejibu of abandoning her and their three children without taking care of them or paying their school fees.
Ejibu aka Jibu Mambo, is also a popular local singer in Lira town, but has since remained silent about the matter.
