Masaka SS, a franchise from the Damani family remain highly motivated with the Mehta T20 Premier already in the bag.

On Saturday, the two giants faced off in a huge clash at the lugogo cricket as both sides looked to build a good start. It is important to remember that Olila lost against Damani in the final of the T20 showpiece earlier this year by 4 wickets.

A resplendent Immaculate Nakisuyi made a huge difference as Damani won by 2 wickets in a game of nerves. She took 3 wickets to restrict Olila to 153. Esther Iloku had given Olila some heft with a brutal half century of 63 from 112 balls before she was run out.

Nakisuyi weighed in with a half-ton of 51 from 53 balls before she was out caught by Kevin Awino but none the less Damani moved the board to 154.

With a bonus point at hand they lead the standings on 6 points, 1 above second placed Olila.
