KAMPALA- This season, the Uganda Beach Soccer Association (UBSA) revised the national league format – dropping the Hurriken and Monsoon groups’ formation.
As thus, the clubs, reduced from 15 to 12, will battle in the home and away basis to determine the ultimate winner will attracts a stiffer contest.
Buganda Royal coach Tony Ssebagala acknowledges that revealing that henceforth every match will matter.
Buganda Royal that were ejected by Real Galacticals at the quarterfinal stage last season, welcome new league debutants Bishop Stuart University from Mbarara at Lido Beach Entebbe today.
“We have held a three-day residential training camp at Mutoola and we are ready to take on Bishop Stuart without complacency.
“They may be new in the top flight league but they have been participating in six of the last eight University championships,” Ssebagala noted.
They have added three new faces to their ranks; Arnold Sserunjogi, Abu Kimera and Ronald Sekimpi which gives them renewed belief. He will also be looking to Sand Cranes players Nasser Lwamunda and Paul Lule who have earned invaluable exposure from the recent Afcon exposure.
In other matches, the KIU versus St Lawrence University promises to serve an awesome buffet for the purists just like Talented versus Nkumba rubber.
